It’s being put to extensive use in my PC3 lab where we are conducting all important CoVID-19 research. As you can imagine, we have a large amount of assays to perform, with lots of aliquoting to do accurately and this pipette has saved us hours already.

The variable speed control means that when I’m overlaying agar onto cells, I can smoothly control the speed the hot agar is delivered and that the monolayer isn’t disturbed. Everyone that has used it has loved it.

Fantastic pipette. Saves work from repeated pipetting work, helps me aliquot my samples precisely and dispense equivalent amounts when I need exact experimental conditions between my groups.

We have experiments where we must quickly divide a microbial culture into 7 to 10 aliquots for different experimental treatments. We have students and rotators doing short-term projects in the lab who have a hard time becoming adept at using the usual electronic pipettors and will waste time pipetting up and down until they get to the correct volume. The ali-Q Pipet Controller eliminates this learning curve for beginners, and makes things easier for veterans in the lab.

I’ve used the ali-Q for about one year now and it saves me a lot of time in cell culture. I do a lot of cell culture in smaller dishes but in high numbers. Pipetting liquids in large numbers, especially when using volumes such as 2.3 ml, instead of 2.5 ml or 3 ml, as required, can be challenging. With the ali-Q I just pre-select the amount I need and can continue to pipette without calculating in between or having to pull up a fresh dose.

The ali-Q is not only an economical choice of repeating pipet, but one of high quality. I utilize the ali-Q each day and appreciate the ergonomic shape, accuracy at high and small volumes, as well as the overall aesthetic of the product. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is aliquoting high volumes every day–this option will save you time, wrist pain, as well as increase accuracy. When used in conjunction with Vista Lab’s wobble-not serological pipet tips, leaking is non-existent!

Unsurpassed ease of setting and dispensing aliquots with a handheld pipette controller. This is the first pipette controller I have seen that has an intuitive method of dispensing precise aliquots. This pipette filler is the same price as many others on the market. However, I like it better for a few reasons: 1) it stands on it own. It doesn’t need a separate stand, but it does come with one if you choose. 2) it can be used as a regular pipette filler and the buttons are sensitive enough that you can adjust the speed of fill and dispense. 3) it has a feature that allows you to set a volume to dispense (calibrated) and a separate button you push to repeat this. It is easy to set and easy to use.

The manufacturing area that uses the ali-Q is a media prep area.  Often times they have to prep media and sterilely aliquot up to 120, 5 mL aliquots in a biosafety cabinet.  Having the capability to aspirate 50 mL at a time and aliquot 5 mL without having to watch the level has been a game changer and the associates are able to complete the makeup much quicker with the ali-Q pipettor.  Thanks for providing this innovative product.
